'Youth Inc' is a piece about how fast life moves. It starts from an abstract base inspired by Hilma af Klint’s 'Youth' paintings, then builds up layers of ink, paint and drawing that feel like fragments of memory coming in and out of focus. There’s a woman’s portrait sitting in the middle of it all, surrounded by loose, doodle-like marks that feel a bit like thoughts or systems trying to make sense of themselves.
The whole collage is about youth as something mechanical and fleeting at the same time, like a sand clock that keeps running whether you’re ready or not. It’s not nostalgic in a sentimental way, more like observing how experiences stack up, blur, and leave traces behind.
This piece was selected for an exhibition at Øredev so it won’t be available until mid-November 2026.
