'Fly'

Oil on canvas, 42×60 xm

This painting is inspired by my regular walks in Pildamsparken, home to several bird families, swans, geese, ducks. I used one of my own photo as the referennce image here.

I made the underpainting using charcoal and oil washes to create an interesting visual texture.

I then painted the face emerging from the background and two birds taking flight out of the lake.

‘Fly’ is currently exhibited at the Malmö Arena.
